The HX Expedition Product Planner – Greenland, Iceland & Faroe Islands works closely with the Expedition Product Manager and supports the product design and delivery of HX cruises, brings local market knowledge and aspires to the qualities we value. The successful candidate brings a positive, can-do attitude that truly identifies and believes in sustainability, community engagement, and science.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Experience in the expedition, tour, cruise shore excursion management including negotiation, contracting, invoicing and product improvements.
- Works effectively in a diverse team in a multinational organization.
- Significant regional knowledge, gained from having lived or worked extensively in focus destinations (Greenland, Iceland & Faroe Islands).
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Fluency in English required with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable with travelling to remote destinations as needed.
- Demonstrated experience with time management and organizational skills.
- Highly developed sense of empathy and a commitment to guest satisfaction.
- Comfortable learning new software and applications including independent learning.
- Demonstrate flexibility to enable international collaboration across time zones.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver and execute responsibilities in a safe manner.
- Support the Expedition Product Manager in the design and delivery of inspirational expedition cruise products that provide guests with unique experiences that focus on local culture, wildlife, nature, science and history.
- Actively engage in the design and development of on-board programming, activities and content in line with our science program and our core values of sustainability and guest education.
- Map out voyage themes and narratives, including providing guidance on content for the education and science programs.
- Ensure that destinations are represented authentically and honestly with a focus on stories told by and through local voices.
- Work closely with hotel, on-board expedition, and fleet operations teams in support of the end-to-end success of the Expedition Product including irregular operations as needed.
- Investigate, select, and manage contracting and relationships with shore excursion providers in relevant regions, owning responsibility for the delivery of the guest experience through internal and external providers.
- Establish and maintain relationships with small communities with limited tourism infrastructure.
- Provide appropriate and measurable social and economic benefits to locals and that their voices and opinions are at the forefront of voyage planning.
- Remain true to and integrate our core company values of guest experience, employee experience, and sustainability in development of Expedition and Shore Excursion development.
- Support in the planning of and production of content to support the hand-over and training of commercial marketing and customer service teams.
- Support the Expedition Product Manager in identifying opportunities for guest experience improvements, and delivering these improvements in collaboration with operations, commercial, finance, digital, and other support teams.
- Be aware of the competitive landscape in your regions in relation to both expedition cruise and general travel industry trends.
- Capture and monitor region specific cost implications in collaboration with other stakeholders - specifically to the destination including excursion costs and regulatory expenses.
- Exhibit and champion the HX Purpose and Spirit.
