Hybrid Cloud Engineer - Contract

Ergo are seeking a Hybrid Cloud Engineer for a contract role in South Dublin . The successful Hybrid Cloud Engineer will join an existing team to deploy applications on new (Dell) and legacy (HP) hardware supporting a transition from Virtual to Containerised Network Functions.
You will have strong experience with the VMware stack (such as NSX, Aria / vRealize Suite / VCF, vCentre) and containerisation skills.
This is a hybrid role with great day rates and potential for long-term extension.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE EXPERIENCE IN SOME / ALL OF THE FOLLOWING:

• VMware (NSX, vSAN, vCenter, ESXi, vSphere)
• Dell & HP hardware
• VMware Aria (or vRealize Suite)
• Containers / Kubernetes (Tanzu an advantage)
• Performance monitoring
• Network devices and concepts (subnetting, VLANS)
• Hardening and Security patching
• Storage Administration
• Basic Active Directory / DNS skills
• Linux knowledge an advantage

• Implement, deploy, test and troubleshoot solutions on Dell and HP infrastructure (Compute / Storage / Networking)
• Capacity and performance analysis using Aria Operations
• Implementation and Configuration of systems as per design
• Troubleshoot at a Hardware, Software & Configuration level
• Infrastructure monitoring with CLI commands
• Management of cloud environments via NSX-V and NSX-T
• Configuring Automatic Deployment for ESXi hosts
• Management of application (vCenter, OneView, OME, vROPs) upgrades, backups
