EDUCATION:

  • Post-Secondary in Accounting or Finance.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced accounting environment
  • Working towards professional accounting designation in Canada (CPA) or SCMP designation is an asset.
  • Bi-lingual candidates in English and French is an asset.
  • Work under strict deadlines and with competing priorities.
  • Working knowledge of some or would be considered a strong asset: JDE EnterpriseOne, DAS, Spreadsheet Server, PowerBI, Allegro, Onestream, PDI, Infosys, Ascend.
  • Advanced / expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel efficiently works through large complex data files.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and well as the ability to thrive in an evolving environment.
  • Project management skills would be a strong asset.
  • A solid understanding of business and inventory management.
  • Experience with internal controls and CSOX process documentation would be an asset.
  • Ability to develop relationships across divisional lines and to cultivate a collaborative approach to decision-making.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills are required for this role.

Month End Reconciliation and Reporting:

  • Ensure month-end balancing and reconciliation of inventory by business unit and by product is accurately completed on time:
  • Physical count to system calculated inventory (Cardex).
  • General Ledger (GL) to sub-ledger (Cardex).
  • Ensure purchases, sales, rebrand, adjustment were recorded with the correct cost (e.g., cost of goods sold is accurate, inventory valuation is correct).
  • Ensure corrective actions including documentation and back up is provided for all sites not meeting the monthly imbalance target of <5% and shrink >0.5%.
  • Prepare month end reporting for respective region including:
  • KPI Tracker.
  • Leadsheets.
  • Monthly / quarterly performance assessment.
  • Post journal entries related to month end close (including any sales accruals, wrong period, and inventory adjustments).
  • Reviewing and seeking approval for loss/gain adjustments in the system and reporting on shrinkage.
  • Support HCA Sr. Reporting Analyst in completion of monthly overall HCA results.
  • Present Month end reporting results to stakeholders at the end of every month

Responsibilities:

Daily Support of Inventory Balancing:

  • Respond to questions and inquiries from HCA Analyst as they perform the daily BU balancing by product.
  • Review region’s mass balance tool to ensure imbalances % are within tolerance and corrective actions are being.
  • Represent region at the daily balancing call and be able to provide status update.

Month End Reconciliation and Reporting:

Continuous Improvement (CI):

  • Actively solicit feedback from HCA Analyst in region on effectiveness of processes, procedures, tools.
  • Actively solicit feedback from Clients on services provided by HCA and identify opportunities for improving Client experiences.
  • Actively identify gaps in processes, tools, reports, and controls.
  • Review system connectivity and identify opportunities for automation, interface control, enhancement of system.
  • Review opportunities to enhance processes, procedures, tools, with other HCA Analyst, Sr. Reporting Analyst, and Optimization Lead.
  • If necessary, support Optimization Lead in updating processes, RACI, procedures, tools.
  • Ensure represented region follows HCA Service Level Agreement (SLA) of 3 business day (BD) - complete inquiry or ensure clean path to resolution.
  • Support team in delivery of CI initiatives for region as per annual individual performance goals.
  • Embrace change and lead through example continually pushing the ‘why’ behind activities and understanding that all processes and system can constantly improve.

Other activities:

  • Training new HCA Analyst in their region.
  • Backfill coverage of Inventory Analyst during periods of high demand or vacation.
  • Support audit requests from internal and external stakeholders
