Work Hours: 4 PM – 12 PM; 12 AM – 8 AM; 4 AM – 12 PM (AFTERNOON/OVERNIGHT SHIFTS ONLY)

Job Requirements:

  • Technical/mechanical experience and or education
  • Previous experience in Hydrocarbon extraction or in a closely similar role
  • Comfortable working in a laboratory environment with compressed gas and hazardous materials
  • Previous machine diagnostic skills
  • Ability to carry out repetitive tasks
  • Ability to lift and hold parts up to 50 lbs for assembly and disassembly of machines as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Familiarity with cannabis concentrates and consistencies
  • Familiarity with basics of heating and cooling machines
  • Ability to communicate problems/changes with equipment/process to solve technical and quality issues
  • Efficient, detail oriented, and able to manage their time effectively
  • Chemistry background is an asset
  • Previous experience working in a cannabis LP
  • Experience working with pumps and compressors is an asse

Responsibilities:

Cannapiece Corp. is seeking for Hydrocarbon Extraction Technician to carry out day to day hydrocarbon extraction processes. The technician will be producing high-quality cannabis extracts. They will work closely with QA to ensure compliance with stringent regulations in the development and continuous improvements to the processes. The ideal candidate has experience operating hydrocarbon extraction equipment and/or pressure vessels. A successful candidate will be efficient, detail oriented, and able to manage their time effectively. The qualified individual will be responsible for meeting production goals, safe operation, maintenance and cleaning of machinery and documentation. This position requires a thorough understanding of extraction equipment, processes and standard operating procedures. The individual must be comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic workspace, and comfortable working as part of the team or on their own at times.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate hydrocarbon extraction machines and pressure vessels to produce various concentrates and extracts
  • Actively operate commercial cannabis processing equipment and capable of speedy transfers.
  • Participating in safety culture and team-based work environment
  • Competency with machines (assembly/disassembly)
  • Follow strict SOP’s and safety guidelines in accordance with Good Production Practices (GPP)
  • Monitoring and extraction process and machinery daily and reporting responsibilities
  • Follow the Hydrocarbon Extraction Lead
  • Meeting critical timelines and deliverables
  • Adapt to changing production goals and timelines accordingly
  • Using basic math calculation in the formulation processes
  • Communicating process variables (weight, temperature, pressure, other settings)
  • Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement in the quality of the products
  • Extreme care for inputs and outputs of process
  • Ensure the cleanliness and industrial hygiene of the work areas
  • Working with compressed gases and pressurized vessels to produce various concentrates and extracts
  • Handling of hot and cold materials, fragile components and delicate materials
  • Coordinate extraction activities with QA to ensure extraction is performed per cGMP standards.
  • Other ad hoc tasks as operationally required needed.
