Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Finance Analyst (Essbase System Administrator) will be responsible for the day-to-day administration/management of multiple Oracle/Hyperion EPM applications focusing on Essbase and Reporting. This includes coordinating master data management, data integration, security, end user assistance, IT collaboration, and ad hoc projects. The month/quarterly close and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) activities within the system will be heavily influenced by this role.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited higher learning program required. Majors in accounting, finance, and/or management information systems or applicable experience preferred.
2 years minimum of experience supporting Financial Systems comparable to or including Hyperion products.
Understanding of one or more of the following technologies: Essbase or Freeform, SmartView, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) or FCCS, Oracle Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (EPBCS), or Enterprise Data Management Cloud Service (EDMCS).
Proficiency in SQL and/or MDX preferred.
Solid grasp of consolidation and forecasting/budgeting processes in a large global manufacturer, preferably a publicly traded company.
Experience in supporting global customers and large end user community base (in excess of 1,000 users).
Strong business writing / interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with business processes and system design.
Familiarity with Linux based operating systems and shell scripting preferred

Responsibilities:

Provide full project lifecycle support for Corporate Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) applications.
Perform day-to-day application administration tasks, including month/quarter end support, forecasting and budget support, master data setup, maintenance of calculations and data integrations, and security/access design and management.
Collaborate with system end users to offer technical expertise during requirements gathering and analysis, document technical designs and support manuals, and drive test and deployment processes.
Identify, design, develop, and implement fixes and enhancements to improve the existing production application.
Make informed solution decisions to optimize end user experience and overall solution performance.
Develop comprehensive training materials and deliver training sessions to new users, coordinating the coordination of learning delivery and logistics.
Build and maintain detailed process and procedure documentation for the production application.
Coordinate with Corporate FP&A on budget and forecast calendars, ensuring the application adequately supports the extended user community needs.
Identify and lead process improvements, working closely with customers within Corporate FP&A.
Maintain proactive communication with Corporate, Group and Divisional Finance teams.
Perform and support analysis and managerial reporting activities as the need arises.
Actively participate in initiatives such as disaster recovery testing, infrastructure upgrades, and corporate security projects.
