Description:

HAPO Community Credit Union is adding a Project Manager III to the team. This role will work closely with department heads and team leads across the organization to prioritize, update, communicate, and track the status of all projects. The Project Manager III will ensure that all teams are effectively communicating and staying on task for each project, both within the company and in collaboration with external partners. They will be responsible for keeping projects on track and ensuring that updates are consistently communicated. HAPO is known for Defying Expectations, we are looking for a candidate who can fulfill this role with a distinctive blend of business, IT, financial and communication skill. This blend is vital because this is a highly visible position with substantial impact.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Ability to lead and motivate others; ability to empathize and knowledge of personality types.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies including agile approaches.
  • Knowledge of project-planning tools.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Expertise in setting and managing customer expectations.
  • Effective influencing and negotiating skills in an environment where this role may not directly control resources.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence.
  • Good understanding of current and emerging technologies, and of how other enterprises are using them to drive digital business.
  • Ability to develop and execute a project resource plan that ensures that the right people are in the right place doing the right things at the right time.
  • Strong time management skills

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of Agile
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office and Project Management Software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills

EDUCATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems (or a related field), project management or general business management.
  • At least three years as Project Manager II preferred
  • Advanced understanding of project tracking processed and software.
  • Advanced understanding and experience with project management practices
  • Lead major projects from initiation to closeout.
  • Perform Lead Project Manager duties on multiple projects.
  • Worked independently on multiple projects with little or no supervision.
  • Working with departments on major projects
  • Certified Project Manager i.e., PMP
