Description:
REQUIREMENTS:
- LLB/LLM/JDA or equivalent law degree from a recognized Law School
- Demonstrated people leadership skills
- At least eight years’ experience in the oil & gas, industrial, software technology, industrial, software and/or construction areas.
- Strong business acumen along with a strong customer/business partner focus & leadership presence
- Proven experience in reviewing, negotiating, and advising on tendering contracts and providing legal support on projects including dispute resolution.
- Strong interpersonal skills and process improvement focus.
Responsibilities:
ROLE:
As a Senior Director Contracts, EMEA, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the customer facing contracting function. You will lead a team of legal professionals responsible for implementing contracting strategies and policies to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company objectives. You will assure close cooperation with other functions including relevant Business, Sales, Finance and Compliance functions.
The position will report directly to the Vice President & General Counsel, Industrial Automation and will work in close cooperation with the EMEA General Counsel for HSS, IGS, PSS and PPE and the Assistant General Counsels EMEA for HPS, PMC and SETS.
The position will be located in Prague, Czech Republic.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the team to ensure favorable terms and conditions on Honeywell customer facing contracts including those for goods and services, software, framework agreements, co-operation and operations/maintenance agreements.
- Take the legal lead in contract related dispute resolution, change order resolution and related activities
- Provide training, mentoring and guidance to direct reports.
- Identify risks and advise the business teams on recommended steps to mitigate potential contractual and commercial risks.
- Personally lead selected large contract negotiations such as Global Mega Projects and BESS.
- Ensure compliance with company’s policies and processes and conduct trainings in close cooperation with the Export Compliance, Sanctions Compliance and other Compliance functions.
- Take legal ownership of/support important initiatives as they arise, past dues and cash collection for example.
