Description:
Position
Within the Group Procurement Direction Department & part of the Group Finance & Administration organization based in Rome, we are currently looking for a ICT and Indirect Category Manager.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Develop and implement category-specific procurement strategies that align with the company’s business objectives.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure their needs are met through procurement activities.
- Ensure compliance with legal regulations and company policies throughout the procurement process.
- Oversee contract management activities including drafting contracts, negotiating terms, monitoring performance against contracts, and managing renewals or terminations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as finance, legal, operations, sustainability, ethics & compliance and quality assurance to optimize procurement practices.
Job responsibilities
CATEGORY STRATEGY & VENDOR MANAGEMENT
- Define with internal stakeholders and budget owners the category strategies for ICT and the some Indirect categories and implement them in an efficient way
- Build and manage Procurement Plans and ensure their execution
- Foster long-term partnerships with existing suppliers while continuously seeking opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement. At the same, identify new suppliers through regular market research to gain insight into supply market conditions and build the supplier database for the category
- Evaluate, review and develop suppliers capabilities, quality of execution, cost, innovation and guaranteed service level in alignment with business stakeholder
- Analyze spend data to identify patterns and areas for cost savings or efficiency improvements.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience in procurement or category management with a proven track record of successful category strategy development and implementation
- Knowledge of the supplier network and of the Global market for the relevant products/services
- Knowledge of Procurement best practices
- Project & Change management
- Degree in Engineering, ICT, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
- Business and customers centric approach
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret complex data sets into actionable strategies
- Experience working with S2P tools and other Procurement and Spend tools
- Fluent English & Italian + French as a plus

- Outstanding communication both written and verbal, negotiation skills
