Description:

REQUIREMENTS

  • 7+ years’ experience in project management, and in the delivery of ICT projects and programmes
  • Knowledge of IT Infrastructure
  • Experience in integration and transformation ICT projects/programmes;
  • Self-motivated individual with excellent customer service and strong working/team building relationship skills;
  • Good judgment and solution-oriented;
  • Strong conflict resolution, negotiating and influencing skills;
  • Project risk and issue management skills;
  • Experience in drafting proposals and business cases;
  • Document management (library management and compiling reports for different groups);
  • Experience operating within a matrix organisation, and effectively working with colleagues from a range of disciplines in order to deliver projects;
  • Experience of vendor management of major software vendors and system integrators. 20
  • Experience of governance and oversight of projects
  • Experience of vendor management of major software vendors and system integrators
  • Experience in drafting proposals and business cases; and strong document management (library management and compiling reports for different groups)
  • Level 6 European QQI or equivalent in your specialised field
  • Be a member of a Project Management Professional Body

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the process of planning, coordinating and delegating responsibilities for completing the Programme’s specified IT objectives
  • Support and/or manage the development, implementation and provision of a core, enterprise level system across prioritised functional areas
  • Determine the types of resources required for the project, estimating resource time and scheduling plans
  • Support the development and facilitate execution of functional plans for each programme stream, ensuring alignment with the overall plan
  • Develop project documentation and reports 19
  • Plan and sequence activities for project delivery teams
  • Coordinate daily project activities
  • Develop and monitor a RAID log as part of the project plan
  • Present any Change requests/Change Logs for approval
  • Responsible for coordination of reporting from each programme stream on a monthly basis, tracking delivery against objectives
  • Sign-off on deliverables to the project with Programme Manager as appropriate
  • Complete assigned projects tasks on time and on budget as per the work plan
  • Contribute ideas/expertise and collaborate with other team members on an ongoing basis
  • Share project information and knowledge with other team members and interested stakeholders as per the internal communications plan
  • Escalate any issues or change that might affect the project’s success to the Programme Manager
  • With the Programme Manager, develop recommendations to take to the Steering Group for decision at key milestones in the process
