Due to continued growth, we are currently hiring an ICT Project Manager to join our team. Emagine is a dynamic, fast-growing international consulting and technology company, focused on delivering custom-fit solutions using cutting-edge technologies. We are seeking an experienced ICT Project Manager to lead the design, development, and deployment of a cloud-based, multi-user database system. This project will support a multi-phase database solution for a public sector agency’s acquisitions team, with a focus on Azure-based MS SQL Server environments and integration with Microsoft 365 applications.
The successful candidate will oversee the project from inception through to rollout and ongoing support, ensuring successful delivery of database functionality, migration of legacy data, and user training. The role requires management of internal and external resources, ensuring project goals are met within defined timelines and budget.

A snapshot of your responsibilities as ICT Project Manager include:

  • Project Leadership: Manage the design, development, and rollout of the Azure-hosted MS SQL Server database, ensuring seamless integration with Microsoft 365.
  • Team Coordination: Lead a multi-disciplinary team to execute on design, development, and database deployment. Maintain consistent communication with internal stakeholders to ensure expectations are met.
  • Database Development: Ensure the database supports critical operations, including property management, automated email workflows, document uploads, tenant data tracking, and customizable reporting.
  • Data Migration: Oversee migration of legacy data from existing Excel spreadsheets to the new database.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify risks throughout the project lifecycle and develop mitigation strategies. Maintain contingency plans to avoid disruption of services.
  • Training: Manage the rollout of a sandbox environment and conduct training sessions for approximately 30 users. Ensure staff are equipped to use the database effectively.
  • Support and Maintenance: Establish a support plan including issue logging, response times, regular maintenance, security patches, and ongoing technical support.
  • Contract Management: Oversee contract phases, maintain regular updates with stakeholders, and ensure project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.

Requirements:

  • Project Management Experience: 7+ years of experience managing ICT projects, particularly in cloud-based environments and database systems. Proven ability to deliver large-scale, multi-user solutions on time and within budget.
  • Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure, MS SQL Server, and Microsoft 365 integration. Prior experience in database design, development, and migration projects is essential.
  • Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, ensuring all team members contribute effectively to project goals.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and mitigate risks proactively.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of delivering technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Client Engagement: Experience in managing client relationships, ensuring transparency, timely updates, and alignment with project objectives.
  • Mandatory Requirements:
  • Education: Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience delivering similar database solutions, specifically in Microsoft Azure and MS SQL Server environments.
  • Availability: Able to commence work in November 2024.
  • Language: Fluent in English (C2 level for non-native speakers).
  • Certification: Relevant project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect).
