Chairo Christian School is a non-denominational Christian school with 1,800 Kinder to Year 12 students attending five picturesque campuses in West and South Gippsland, the Latrobe Valley and the south-eastern outskirts of Melbourne.

We are seeking to appoint an ICT Support Technician Trainee to join our ICT team in January next year. This is an exciting opportunity for a Year 12 graduate to have a gateway into this field while undertaking a Cert IV in Information Technology.
The successful delivery of Information Technology at Chairo is of high priority and the ICT Support Technician Trainee will be expected to provide excellent customer service while learning on the job.

Some key responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to communications from those requiring support
  • Monitoring and logging issues in ICT’s Help Desk system
  • Maintaining, creating and terminating user accounts
  • Providing the following:
  • software support and deployment
  • computer hardware support and deployment (laptops, desktops, iPads)
  • educational hardware support (e.g. interactive whiteboards)
  • other hardware support (e.g. printers, photocopiers)
  • basic networking support of end-user devices

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Demonstrated commitment to the school’s Statement of Faith
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to relate to students and staff members in a caring, friendly and helpful manner
  • Willingness to work at multiple campuses as required
  • Willingness to work out of regular hours on an occasional basis
