Job Summary:
We are looking for IFRS 9 Analyst to join the Central 1 Team! In this role, you will report to the Product Manager of the IFRS 9 Platform and provide essential functional support to credit unions as they implement and use Central 1’s IFRS 9 loan loss model. You will be the go-to resource for credit unions, addressing inquiries about the IFRS 9 National Reporting & Analytics Platform (the “Platform”) and resolving routine issues to ensure seamless operations.
What you will be doing:
Operational
- Respond to customer inquiries and issues via phone and email within designated timeframes
- Act as second-level support to assist Senior Analysts with issues escalated by other support staff
- Collect sufficient information from clients for initial diagnosis, analyze, and resolve issues or escalate as needed
- Collaborate with key support departments on technical and operational matters
- Update operations manuals and procedures as necessary
- Address customer questions on simpler model functionality; escalate complex model design or auditor queries to the Product Manager
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of product offerings, application functionality, and model design; identify results that don’t align with model expectations when diagnosing issues
- Assist IFRS 9 team members during QA and production releases by completing user acceptance testing
- Perform additional duties as needed to ensure exceptional service and support Central 1’s business goals
Client Management
- Maintain a strong understanding of product features and benefits
- Stay up-to-date on products and application functionality
- Ensure high-quality service and clear communication with internal partners and credit unions
- Manage relationships with both internal teams and credit unions
What you will have:
- 2+ years of relevant customer service experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field with an accounting focus (or equivalent experience)
- CPA designation preferred, along with 4+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience
- Knowledge of IFRS 9 impairment accounting is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment
- Problem-solving skills: ability to gather information, diagnose issues, and provide effective solutions
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with clients, technical teams, and internal stakeholders
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-focused environment
Salary: $66,600
The salary represents the job rate determined for the successful candidate who is fully competent in the role. The actual salary will vary depending on market conditions and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
