Title: IM&T Project Manager
Position Reports to: Manager FAcT IM&T Service Delivery
Job Location: Ottawa (Hybrid)
Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 CAD
SkyAlyne is a proud partnership between Canadian aviation and defence leaders, CAE and KF Aerospace, formed to provide a truly Canadian solution for Canada’s Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) Program, Canada’s next-generation military aircrew training program.
SkyAlyne has been selected as contractor for the FAcT Program, a 25 year program valued at approximately $10 billion. The program will be managed from the National Capital Region (Ottawa), with three operational locations: Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan; Southport (Portage la Prairie), Manitoba; and Winnipeg, Manitoba.
The scope of the FAcT Program contract includes all training and in-service support requirements needed to prepare Pilots, Air Combat Systems Officers, and Airborne Electronic Sensor Operators to meet the future aerospace requirements of the Royal Canadian Air Force. In collaboration with the Government of Canada and several major Canadian subcontractors, SkyAlyne will provide live-flying, simulator and classroom-based training, facilities construction and management, information management and information technology support, site support services, aircraft maintenance and much more.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Professional certification such as PMP or PRINCE2.
- Minimum of 10 years or more of project management experience.
- Experience in delivering information technologies for maximum usability.
- Proven experience in managing projects and project deployments, with a proven track record of delivering successful outcomes.
- Experience working with Agile delivery teams (e.g. Scrum).
- Proficiency in Project Management tools and methods, including Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Proficiency in MS Suite, ideally in MS Projects, Excel, Word, Outlook & PowerPoint.
- Experience with ITIL is an asset.
- Skilled in effectively communicating with all levels of management, both internal teams and external partners, to ensure clarity and alignment across all stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail when working with schedules, costs, and quality objectives.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Be able to hold a Government of Canada Security Clearance (Secret level) and Controlled Goods Clearance.
- Eligible to work in Canada.
- Strong oral and written English language capabilities.
- Fluency in French would be an asset.
Responsibilities:
- Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, and schedule.
- Drive project status and, when necessary, revise the scope and schedule to ensure that project requirements can be met.
- Establish and maintain relationships with project stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes.
- Lead the project team to ensure maximum performance, by providing purpose, direction, and motivation.
- Establish and maintain processes in partnership with the PMO team to manage the scope during the project lifecycle, set quality and performance standards and assess risks.
- Proactively manage the performance of the IM&T program/projects.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with third-party resources, including vendors and subcontractors.
- Assign and monitor project resources to ensure project efficiency and maximize deliverables.
- Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan.
- Execute the control processes implemented by the Program Management Office.
- Work closely with the Project Management Office, Work Pack Leads, Architects, Engineers, and project planners to organize, and facilitate the execution and delivery of project milestones.
- Review project deliverables and communicate critical paths to relevant stakeholders, ensuring project adheres to agreed timelines and quality standards.
- Assist with project estimates, reviews, change controls, scope changes and costing.
- Develop and maintain detailed work plans, including schedules, milestones, CDRLs, resource allocation, and essential project documents.
- Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project life cycle.
- Provide regular status reports to the Project Management Office (PMO).
- Additional duties as assigned.
