Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee comprehensive health and safety plans for all field operations, maintaining a zero AFR and zero utility strike target.
  • Lead monthly health and safety reviews and support behavioural safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with POSWSH and Water Regulations.
  • Foster a culture of health, safety, and well-being across operational teams, including the implementation of the LIFE engagement programme.
  • Champion a customer-centric approach, aiming for 100% customer satisfaction by ensuring timely, considerate communication during all operations.
  • Work to minimize community disruption during activities and keep customers informed throughout all phases of work.
  • Establish strong communication channels with frontline teams, promoting consistent practices across health and safety, water quality, and commercial efficiency.
  • Lead resource planning to ensure the right teams are in the right place at the right time, reducing absences and ensuring up-to-date training and competency checks.
  • Drive performance by meeting contract KPIs and implementing Performance Improvement Plans where necessary.
  • Oversee weekly/monthly cost reviews and develop action plans to achieve operational savings and align productivity-based bonuses with team targets.
  • Support recruitment, training, and development of new operational staff, ensuring balanced training rotations.
  • Collaborate with project teams on initiatives like the Reinstatement, Stores Management, and Depot Strategies, ensuring smooth transitions and timely delivery.
