Description:
South Sound Radiology (SSR) is looking for a full time Imaging Tech Aide to join our MR/CT team. We are an Outpatient Imaging Center, open Monday – Friday, located in Olympia, Washington.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Experience: 1-2 years in customer service oriented environment, medical preferred

Responsibilities:
- Customer and Patient Satisfaction: Must be proactively and consistently contributing to the team’s ability to meet and anticipate the needs and expectations of internal and external customers. Effectively provides service and/or resolves problems. Works to create a positive experience for all.
- Technical Performance: Assists with patient workflow for MRI and CT or other imaging modalities as needed. Tasks include but are not limited to: Keeping the patient schedule on-time by bringing patients back to the department, correctly changing them for their exam, applicable patient tracking, assist the technologist/radiologist with procedure consent process as needed, room set-up, as applicable-calling patients prior to procedures to answer questions, confirming paperwork and orders are complete, scanning or faxing paperwork, answering phones, etc.
- Communication: Utilizes clear and effective communication with imaging center team and patients by using either oral, written or verbal methods. Demonstrates a general knowledge of modalities to assist technologists with patient communication. Gives and receives feedback in a non-defensive manner, asks for clarification, evaluates feedback and realizes the freedom to modify or stay the same.
- Quality and Safety: assist the ultrasound and breast imaging technologists with patient screening procedures. Adheres to radiation and blood borne pathogen safety standards to contribute toward a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Computer Resources: Comfortably uses PACS, RIS, QC workstations and additional computer programs as required.
