Description:

DETAILS

  • Department: Diagnostic Radiology
  • Schedule: Part Time Evening Shift - 32 hours per week. Rotating weekdays and every other weekend.
  • Week A: Mon (10:00PM to 6:30AM), Tues & Thurs (6:00PM to 6:30AM)
  • Week B: Tues (6:00PM to 6:30AM), Fri & Sat (9:00PM to 7:30AM)
  • Hospital: St Francis
  • Location: Milwaukee, WI

REQUIREMENTS

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Licensed Radiology Technician obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • High School diploma required. Graduation from a JRCERT approved School of Radiologic Technology preferred. Bachelofs Degree preferred.

Work Experience:

  • Previous work experience as an Imaging Tech preferred.

Responsibilities:

Take radiologic films providing quality images to physicians to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems.

  • Prepare and position patients for x-rays and selects exposure factors accurately.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Observe patient during procedure and report abnormal activity.
  • Monitor protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Prevent patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation.
