The Global Immigration team sits within EY’s People Advisory Services/UKI Tax & Law practice and is an ever-expanding provider managing a range of business immigration services for multinational clients hiring non-EEA employees to work in Ireland.
EY’s Immigration practice is a high-pace, client service focused environment. Team members enjoy extensive contact with corporate clients, employees/assignees and EY contacts at all levels within organisations. We are seeking an Consultant to join our busy Irish-inbound immigration team.
As a member of the Irish Immigration team you will be responsible for contributing to the overall success of the team. This is achieved by being inspirational, curious, accountable and results-focused, and proactively asking for and accepting help where required.

- Strong written & verbal communication skills – must have ability to write detailed business letters, business cases, etc.

Responsibilities:
Typical activities will include the following:
The successful applicant will work as part of a local team to maximise efficiencies on allocated client accounts. The role will involve:
- Working in a fast paced and exciting environment as part of a team who assist with and advise on appropriate Irish immigration requirements for clients across various industries
- Working with different team members to gain an understanding of Irish immigration and applying learnings to compliance support for employers and employees
- Initiating immigration process with both the employer and the employee
- Arranging and participating in conference calls to provide an overview of Irish immigration requirements
- Assisting with the day-to-day activities related to Irish immigration cases
- Preparing applications for submission to the relevant government bodies (i.e. Department of Enterprise, Trade & Employment, Department of Justice & Equality and Immigration Service Delivery Unit)
- Preparation of supporting documents for applications on behalf of the client where required
- Tracking applications submitted to the relevant Irish authorities and providing updates to employees, HR Managers, recruiters etc
- Communicate with clients on a frequent basis to keep them updated on the status of applications, change in Irish immigration policies, procedures and legislation
- Working and updating EY Immigration technologies and tracking systems
- Proactively completing non-technical client related tasks.
