The Imports & Exports Analyst is responsible for continuously develop a world-class logistics organization. Responsible for managing and developing the imports and export (trade) department in Colombia ensuring adequate resources, technology and processes are maintained. The associate must ensure compliance with trade regulations in the country. The associate must promote a culture of care, collaboration and courage.

What will you be doing?

  • Serve as the main point of coordination between suppliers (internal and external), customs in Colombia and other government agencies, customs agents and the S+N organization in the country, to ensure service commitments are achieved and maintained in accordance with objectives.
  • Be the liaison between the Global Supply Planning / Procurement team and the Supply Chain / Operations in Colombia.
  • Manage relationship with customs brokers, government agencies and vendors.
  • Provide excellent and timely customer service by proactively informing Operations, Finance and Sales of the status of the inbound shipments leveraging carriers and customs brokers for response.
  • Receive, review and process documentation for all imports to Colombia, and process documents through the systems as needed. Create and produce timely and compliant reports of customs related transactions and in-transit material.
  • Drive solutions to collect data and competitive intelligence within the field.
  • Ensure the adoption of technological solutions to help with the effectiveness of the inbound process and guarantee the service levels of the operations.
  • Ensure compliance with company global and local regulations.

What will you need to be successful?

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (4-year career) in Logistics, Foreign-Trade, Administration, Business, Engineering from an accredited university - required.
  • Licenses/ Certifications: Foreign trade-related certifications preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in foreign or global trade, imports and exports, or trade compliance.
  • Bilingual: English + Spanish required.
