Description:

WHO YOU ARE

  • Science degree (or equivalent) in computer science, engineering, or relevant field
  • Experience in operation and maintenance of mobile and IMS systems
  • Good knowledge of communication protocols including SIP, DIAMETER, MAP, and CAMEL
  • Good critical thinking, problem solving, organizational, decision-making and communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple work assignments simultaneously
  • Comfortable working in RedHat/Linux environments. Oracle, Timesten and PostGreSQL database, weblogic knowledge
  • Knowledge of working in environment in cloud technologies: VMWare, Openshift
  • AGILE and DevOps methodologies are welcome
  • Good knowledge of Unified Comms will be valuable
  • Development Knowledge, preference of Python and PERL

Responsibilities:

You will join the team that is dedicated to evolving Operations to meet the demands of running the Services networks and applications. You will be part of the Corporate Services team, focused on developing solutions that drive the success of Vodafone’s Intelligent Network Services and Platforms for IMS system. You will be innovative and be part of cross-functional activities with partners in planning, performance, testing, and deploying. Responsible for incident and problem management and develop software solutions with an emphasis on continuous operational improvement and efficiency.

  • Work as part of managed projects embracing agile methodologies and show an aptitude for being able to adapt and lead the effort to transform the way we do operations by promoting a DevOps mindset.
  • Plan, test and deploy software major and minor releases to deliver business requirements and needs for IMS services
  • Develop KPI to measure and monitor service performance and control
  • Perform root-cause analysis in production environments for one or more related incidents, manage the incident and provide temporary or long-term solutions
  • Deploy updates and fixes
  • Develop scripts and tools to improve operational processes and achieve efficiency through automation
