SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
As our ideal candidate, you will be a qualified lawyer with significant commercial experience in negotiating & managing contracts. An understanding of data protection and privacy is desirable. You will be a great communicator, as a significant part of this role is to be the in-house “go to” for legal matters; communicating and negotiating with external parties, liaising with legal counsels and specialists, as well as providing clarification on legal matters to others within the organisation. This role could suit anyone from a wide range of industries and backgrounds.

Responsibilities:
We are looking for a collaborative professional who can provide legal advice and support to our New Zealand and International offices. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating customer and business partner contracts whilst keeping abreast of local and international legislative changes that may impact the business, liaising with external counsel as required. Risk management, data security, and privacy are also key functions of this role, whereby you will offer proactive advice on possible legal issues, help minimise risks and keep management informed of any legal risks.
