Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a part of a specialized group within the engineering team, you will be supporting a commercial aircraft program in the capacity of Design Engineer specialist for In-service support.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
- You have a minimum of five (5) years of proven experience in Repairs for the aerospace industry (In-service, MAP/MRB).
- You have a good knowledge of CATIA V5 (preferably R19) and Enovia.
- You have excellent knowledge of aircraft structure.
- You are comfortable in questioning aircraft structure repairs.
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- You are an upbeat person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a high sense of dedication, and a willingness to accept responsibilities while acting independently in a fast-paced partner/supplier team environment.
- You have knowledge of MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- You have excellent written and spoken, communication skills in English. French is an asset.
- Having detailed knowledge of airline operation, engineering and maintenance is an asset.
DESCRIPTION DU POSTE :
En tant que membre d’un groupe spécialisé au sein de l’équipe d’ingénierie, vous soutiendrez un programme d’avions commerciaux en tant qu’ingénieur de conception spécialisé dans le soutien en service.
Responsibilities:
- Assess the structural damage to the aircraft.
- Respond to aircraft grounded (AOG) situations and customer engineering requests.
- Investigate the cause of in-service problems, resolve source of failures and find effective and innovative solutions.
- Propose repair solutions that align with sector regulations and customer requirements.
- Work in close collaboration with the stress department and other specialists such Aero, Materials & Processes.
- Prepare design reports in English for certification purposes.
- Design generic repairs for metallic and composite structures.
- Participate in the design and support of structural modifications.
