Description:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Criminal Reference Check (CPIC) including Vulnerable Sector Check
completed not more than 120 days prior to interview, with results
acceptable to the YMCA of Eastern Ontario
- Experience working with children from birth to age 6
- Experience with play-based pedagogy and knowledge of How Does
Learning Happen?
- Registered Early Childhood Education diploma, Child & Youth Care diploma,
Ontario Certified Teacher or minimum of two (2) years’ experience working
with children aged 0-6 years
- Up-to date-immunizations
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C
Responsibilities:
• Assisting in the planning, organization and implementation of the YMCA
Child Care Program.
- Adherence to the policies and procedures of the YMCA, as well as meeting
or exceeding all standards required by the Ministry of Education, the YMCA
of Eastern Ontario and any other third-party regulatory body.
- Ensuring the safety of children in programs by providing continuous care
and supervision.
- Upholding the philosophy and values of the YMCA Child Care Centre and
striving to improve and sustain services at the highest level of quality.
