Position: Inclusive Employment Program Coordinator
Location: Penticton
Salary: $46,000 per year; extended medical and dental after 90 days

As our Inclusive Employment Program Coordinator, you’ll be reaching out to, and meeting with local business owners, sourcing inclusive contracted labour positions and connecting job seekers with employment that suits their needs.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with businesses and job seekers.
- Proven experience in sales, marketing, and recruitment, with a focus on advocacy and inclusion.
- Ability to think creatively and solve problems to develop customized employment opportunities.
- Knowledge of inclusive employment practices and workplace accessibility.
- Passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workforce.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be knowledgeable in Google Workspace, spreadsheets and databases (we use Airtable)
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses and government to find contracted positions to fill with multiple diverse workers.
- Assess job seekers’ skills, interests, and capabilities to match them with suitable positions.
- Promote the benefits of inclusive employment to businesses, providing education on workplace accommodations and diversity best practices.
- Collaborate with community organizations, vocational rehabilitation services, and other partners to expand employment networks.
- Negotiate contracts and assist in overcoming barriers to ensure successful placements.
- Support both workers and businesses to ensure a smooth employment transition
- Track contract outcomes and obtain feedback from businesses and workers regarding their processes
