This is an opportunity for you to become part of the world’s leading exchange as part of its fast-growing index business. The role entails working in a team of experts supporting existing indexes to maintain competitive positioning and help drive overall growth in assets of tracking products, while also contributing to the creation of new financial products.
You will be part of the Global Nasdaq Index Research Team, which supports exiting clients and pitching to new clients across Europe. Furthermore, you will collaborate closely with Global Sales on client initiation and development which will be a great opportunity to gain knowledge and deepen your expertise of the competitive landscape and trends within the business industry.
What You Will Do

As an Index Research Senior Specialist in this team, you will:

  • The point person on the index research team supporting existing clients and pitching to new clients across Europe.
  • Spokesperson for Nasdaq Indexes. Provide thought leadership by presenting at industry events, webcasts, short-form videos, podcasts, and client engagements.
  • Responsible for research supporting Nasdaq indexes through blogs, commentary, white papers and research reports.
  • Prepare and present standard and customized research reports including comparative index and product performance analyses, index back-tests, and other reports.
  • Analyze and interpret a wide range of financial and statistical data from a variety of vendor and internal databases for projects and presentations to issuers, institutional and retail investors.
  • Work with Global Sales on client initiation, development, and ongoing support of benchmarking and product licensing businesses through generation of original product and support of existing indexes.
  • Acquire and share knowledge of the competitive landscape and the trends in the business.

What We Expect

To thrive in this role, besides having a genuine interest in the financial markets, we believe that you have:

  • A degree qualified in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Finance or related subject area.
  • At least five years of related experience.
  • Understanding of exchange-traded funds, financial products, and other investment products in the passive and active space.
  • Excellent presentation and speaking skills, alongside comfort and desire to represent Nasdaq publicly.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in an open and service-minded manner.
  • Strong writing and analytical skills with high levels of attention to detail.
  • Written and spoken proficiency in English along with at least Italian or German.
