Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Manager, Student Outreach and Leadership, the incumbent provides logistics support and acts as a liaison between Branches and external participants involved in initiatives of Indigenous community programs at McGill University.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with outreach projects by providing logistics, developing promotional strategies, and evaluating overall implementation of projects related to the mandate of Branches Access Programs
- Research best practices for projects regarding Indigenous youth related to career and academic development.
- Support the Branches program in the development of partnerships with CEGEPs, High schools and departments within McGill University for the development of outreach and access programs such as but not limited to Impress, Pick Your Path CEGEP and Undergraduate Pick Your Path, EXPLORE and IMPRESS
- Participate in building tools to facilitate collaboration around Indigenous outreach initiatives and community building.
- Assist with general office tasks such as systematizing files and archives, assistance with writing reports, and funding proposals.
- Provide other administrative support, as required.

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities:
The ideal student will be working toward an undergraduate degree at McGill University. Possess excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills are essential. Proven experience in research and web editing and a demonstrated interest and awareness of human rights and equity issues is preferred.
