- Ability to work as a team member and to contribute professionally to the strategic objectives of Jumbunna Institute for Indigenous Education and Research (JIIER) and the strategic directions of the University of Technology Sydney.

- Demonstrated project management skills (eg aspiration raising events, lectures, seminars and awards events).
- Experience in the coordination and management of events in an Indigenous setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of specific issues relating to the coordination of events in an Indigenous setting.
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Indigenous Outreach and Events Officer is responsible for the planning, coordination and participation in activities and events to promote study opportunities at UTS. The role is pivotal in the coordination of the Galuwa programs, a key schools engagement experience. The position is required to engage with local, regional and remote schools as well as attend careers markets, job fairs and community related events.
Within the scope of this position performs of a range of administrative tasks as directed by the Senior Indigenous Outreach and Events Officer, who in turn reports to the Indigenous Outreach Manager.
