Responsibilities:

  • As the Indigenous Relations Project Manager, you’ll work within our Sustainability Team and your primary responsibility will be to lead, develop, manage, and implement projects with Indigenous Nations that maintain and strengthen relationships with Indigenous led organizations and Indigenous communities.

Within the role, you’ll lead a brand-new program along with building the systems from the ground up.

  • As part of this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining meaningful, trusted relationships with Indigenous communities and organizations.
  • Work closely with the Director to build relations and follow through with the implementation of business opportunities supporting both the interests of the Nations and Drax.
  • The role will help to implement cultural awareness throughout the Company. The role will implement activities and apply for Drax to gain Certification of Progressive Aboriginal Relations for from the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business, then to maintain the certification.
  • Demonstrate ability to develop and maintain relationships, strategic planning, and project management skills
  • Build and support the execution of Indigenous knowledge through Drax.
