Description:
Thriving client located in the Wilmington Delaware Suburbs seeks a Indirect Procurement Leader with proven strategic planning expertise. This candidate will manage and support all procurement needs of the organization, oversee the source to contract process, assist with the vendor selection process, negotiation service supply agreements, manage vendor relationships, analyze purchasing data, and secure competing prices and reduce cost. As the Indirect Procurement Leader, you will also monitor KPIs, manage SOX compliance, implement fruitful procurement and sourcing strategies, and build long standing vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will also track inventory levels, build project models, identify and mitigate risks, oversee the procurement team, and prepare department reports.

- Negotiate initial and updated supply agreements
- Provide export/import guidance to both internal and external clients
- Collaborate with internal departments on supply needs
- Lead procurement and purchasing team
- Develop and maintain inventory system
- Provide reporting analysis for external and internal needs
- Identify and mitigate risks to supply operations
- Manage the coordination of deliverables and ensure accuracy
- Train and mentor staff
The ideal Indirect Procurement Leader will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration.
Other requirements for the Indirect Procurement Leader role include and are not limited to:
- 3-5+ years of indirect procurement experience
- Proven experience w/: laboratory supplies, contract manufacturing, corporate materials/services, CapEx
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, negotiation, and problem solving skills
- Proficient/Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint)
- SAP a must
