JR59400 INDIRECT REGIONAL SUPPLIER MANAGER

Do you have a passion in building a career in procurement? We are looking for highly motivated individuals to join our Global Procurement team dedicated to this function.
As a Buyer, you will be the primary category point of contact for supplier interactions, performance management, and negotiations for the site.
In this role, you will work with partners to build comprehensive view of supplier performance for continued sourcing success.
You will participate and/or lead in the development and implementation of category strategies and projects related but not limited to cost reduction initiatives, supply base optimization, and pricing/contract negotiation.

As a Indirect Supplier Manager, you will be responsible for developing a category strategy for managed categories, validating strategies with Global and Regional Category Managers/s and the respective internal partners and stakeholders. You will be conducting strategic sourcing initiatives, plan and execute negotiations using supplier and industry analysis, benchmark and cost management. Through management of the category strategy, you will also be building trusted partnerships with internal stakeholders, driving best-in-class, cost, supply and resilience.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement role.
  • A relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in category management and strategic sourcing.
  • Strong negotiating and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to effectively manage relationships with various individuals involved.
  • Advanced skills in material cost structure understanding and analysis
    Responsible for obtaining materials, components, equipment, and services for construction and Capex projects. Performs should cost, pricing analysis and volume planning for major commodities. Acquires and maintains technical understanding of products purchased. Coordinates purchasing activities with Facility stakeholders to make sure the project need date deliver on time as per timeline. As required, monitors the cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value. May recommend cost saving proposals including make vs. buy analysis, alternative sourcing, and vendor evaluation criteria.

Responsibilities:

Category Management & Strategic Sourcing

  • Recommend resource levels across procurement sourcing categories, projects and functions.
  • Implement processes to monitor stakeholder satisfaction with key suppliers.
  • Recommend targets to maximize value such as high revenue, spend reduction, purchasing efficiency, customer services and supplier management.
  • Analyze sourcing trends and make recommendations for assigned categories.
  • Participate in supplier segmentation and strategic goal-setting.
  • Develop category strategies for managed categories and validate strategies with Global and Regional Category Managers/s and internal partners.

Cost Management & Analysis

  • Identify and evaluate category-specific savings/revenue levers
  • Drive category savings/revenue and scorecard metric targets
  • Provide market intelligence and category price trends to relevant internal stakeholders
  • Utilize should-cost models for assigned categories that are benchmarked and relevant to the global marketplace

Negotiation

  • Lead or participate in negotiations for contract extensions and renewals, renegotiation of prices, transfers, etc
  • Lead sourcing events/RFQ process into bundled negotiation
  • Incorporate savings targets and contract requirements into negotiations
  • Develop a contract strategy for suppliers in assigned categories and create, negotiate, monitor and enforce contracted terms and conditions
  • Conduct strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiations, and cost management using supplier and industry analysis.

Business Partnering

  • Collaborate with Stakeholders to Deliver Strategic Solutions
  • Develop and maintain expertise in the assigned spend categories through relationships with key stakeholders
  • Drive customer-centric approach to solving issues and representing Procurement
  • Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships to enhance cost-effectiveness, supply chain efficiency, and resilience.
