Responsibilities:
A fantastic opportunity to join a growing tax team at an incredibly exciting part of its growth journey. Due to continued growth and ambitious plans for further expansion in Ireland, RSM Ireland is recruiting a Manager to join our VAT team. The role will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to accelerate their knowledge, skills, and development in a creative, entrepreneurial, and supportive team, working with lots of fantastic clients along the way.
The role will entail working as part of a multidisciplinary team to serve a range of international and domestic clients across a diverse range of sectors. A key part of the role will be to work with existing indirect tax senior management in developing the firm’s indirect tax service offering.
Responsibilities:
- Full commercial management of a portfolio of indirect tax clients across a range of industries and overseeing a compliance portfolio.
- Working closing with partners and senior management in the delivery of VAT advisory and consulting services.
- Liaising with clients in a timely efficient manner, advising, researching, and resolving all relevant VAT issues and VAT technical matters on advisory assignments.
- Corresponding with Revenue and other third parties on behalf of clients.
- Support in the delivery of VAT function improvement and optimisation through the application of technology solutions.
- Coaching, mentoring, and reviewing workload of associate level trainees including presenting in-house VAT training courses.
- Working closely with other RSM Business units within the firm to identify VAT opportunities to provide to existing clients.
- Coordinating and collaborating with other RSM member firms on cross-border projects and business development initiatives.
- Contributing to the development of technical knowledge and training of staff on indirect taxes.
- Contributing to the operational management of the tax business and taking responsibility for specific areas as required.
