Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with the VP of Indirect Lending to develop strategies and initiatives to effectively execute the business plan to meet and exceed objectives.
  • Effectively lead the daily operations of the department including application portals, queues, underwriting of applications and communicating decisions to our business partners.
  • Monitor the performance of the department and meet or exceed established KPI’s.
  • Recommend and monitor underwriter lending authority limits and appropriate authority level.
  • Track, monitor, and report out underwriter delinquency and charge off metrics.
  • Complete charge-off post-mortem reviews.
  • Analyze, improve and implement results focused delivery channels and product offerings.
  • Responsible for timely application disposition, accurate actions, and compliance of all adverse action regulations and laws.
  • Establish, monitor, and update procedures to ensure accurate, efficient and timely processing of applications and approval/decline decisions to manage acceptable risks and reduce loss ratio for the credit union.
  • Develops and maintains the indirect loan business by building strong relationships with business partners.
  • Manages and coaches the Indirect Underwriting staff with focus on developing strong underwriting, production, and exceeding department goals and objectives.
  • Conducts quality and accuracy review audits.
  • Point of contact for internal audits and cross departmental leadership support.
  • Develops annual individualized performance objectives to achieve desired loan production results; ensures overall staff training/development.
  • Decisions loans within authorized approval limits and reviews and recommends loans that exceed approval authority to the VP of Indirect Lending.
  • Works closely with the Indirect Loan Processing and Quality Control Managers to insure timely processing and superior service with business partners and members.
  • Analyzes, recommends, and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders and implements process improvements.
  • Ensures compliance with all credit union policies.
  • Comply with all Federal Regulations as they pertain to your job duties, including BSA.

Position Requirements:

  • This position is Remote.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, or commensurate experience is Required.
  • 5+ years of lending experience with lending authority is Required.
  • 1+ years of people leader experience is Required.
  • Requires proficient skills to use Microsoft Suite applications, including Excel and Word.
