Description:

We are currently seeking experienced Couple and Individual Psychotherapists to join our dynamic team. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing evidence-based therapy to individuals and couples seeking support for various mental health concerns. As a psychotherapist at Trauma Resolution Centre, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of your clients and contribute to the overall well-being of the community.
This position is for our Lindsay and Peterborough locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for individuals and couples.
  • Experience in providing therapy from a trauma-informed lens.
  • Provide individual and couples therapy using a variety of therapeutic modalities.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for clients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in accordance with ethical and legal standards of your professional college.
  • Stay informed about current developments in the field of psychotherapy and participate in ongoing professional development.
  • Foster a nurturing therapeutic relationship to support healing and growth.
  • Attend clinical consultation meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or other related fields.
  • Hold valid registration in good standing with your respective regulatory College.
  • Experience working with First Responders is an asset.
  • Experience working with Third Party Insurers ie: WSIB, NIHB, Blue Cross is an asset.
  • Maintain professional liability insurance for the province of Ontario.
  • Exhibit competence in addressing a wide spectrum of mental health concerns in adults.
  • Advanced training in couples therapy and trauma focused modalities.
  • Demonstrate commitment to professional development.
  • Work proficiently within the established policies and procedures of the Trauma Resolution Centre.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
