FULL TIME, OFFICE BASED
Salary $90,000 - $110,000 + Super (negotiable)
Are you an enthusiastic Industrial Designer looking for a new opportunity in Sydney? Would you relish the opportunity to design sophisticated, market leading equipment and technology with an exciting and rapidly developing tech leader? Our client has a strong foundation in industrial design with various market-leading products performing in line with their international clients’ demands. Based on this, they are now looking to expand their Sydney innovation and design team.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design or relevant engineering discipline, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in industrial design, with preference for Defence, Medical, Aerospace or Consumer Electronics industries
- Experience in Solidworks, Adobe Suite (Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Keyshot (desirable)
- Strong ideation, sketching and product rendering skills
- Knowledge of complex surface modelling
- Previous experience in design for manufacture with knowledge of various manufacturing techniques
- Excellent task and time management skills
- You would excel in a high empowerment, fast paced environment, surrounded by likeminded, high achieving people
- An abundance of ambition and motivation to grow the company and compete with the big players in the industry
- Australian citizenship preferred for security level clearance requirements
Responsibilities:
In this Industrial Designer role, you’ll be involved in the development of new designs, taking them from conception through to production. You will:
- Imagine & build cutting-edge products, adhering to the company’s design language
- Oversee the entire product journey, from concept to launch
- Work cross-functionally to integrate complex engineering concepts into designs
- Lisae with stakeholders, manufacturers and suppliers
- Manage technical aspects, ensuring feasibility & design integrity
- Maintain Documentation: Develop & maintain accurate BOMs, assembly instructions, and CAD models.
- Present impressive design concepts and solutions through modelling, rendering and prototyping
- Communicate with stakeholders and manage project outcomes
