We are currently looking for an experienced Industrial Engineer to focus on the change configuration process for the X’trapolis 2.0 project in Ballarat.
Working alongside the Industrialisation team, the primary responsibilities are to define and validate the change request process, perform industrial documentation, define industrial master data for the project and set the manufacturing method time. You will also drive continuous improvement actions and product and process changes and have a background as an Industrial or Methods Engineer. This position will be predominantly working on a day shift roster, but will require flexibility to support the second shift and production hours as required. Initially, this role is offered on a 12 month fixed term contract basis as we work with the project requirements, we endeavour to provide further opportunities within the organisation.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED INCLUDES:

  • Proven experience from a similiar role managing change requests for a complex project in the rail or similar industry
  • Operational experience with an ERP system (SAP preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to review and coordinate change requests and work closely with internal teams

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in change configuration meetings and review Industrial impact (ICA & PCA)
  • Manage all change configurations and change requests including management of related documentation and provide inputs to key meetings
  • Plan the retrofits and reworks in accordance the production line progress
  • Work closely with the Industrialisation team to guide product definition in order to improve the product manufacturability and support manufacturing
  • Participate in the product design reviews when required
  • Estimate and manage requirements to meet the method timelines including tooling and resourcing requests and specifications
  • Work closely with internal teams to understand and apply requirements to meet obligations
  • Validate product design and industrialization
  • Industrialize retrofit after engineering changes
