Description:
INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER (CI ENGINEER)
The Industrial Engineer is an innovative thinker and problem solver that leads in creating, developing, and deploying process improvements to support a safe and efficient lean manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator who leads with a mindset of kaizen (continuous improvement) and respect for people. The candidate will be responsible for driving positive change through the Quikserv Way and Quikserv Production System to establish and sustain a lean manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Executes manufacturing “CI” assignments with/without supervision in the value stream.
- Create flow by implementing a lean manufacturing system that aligns with strategic objects. Including installation of assembly lines, material pull systems, and u-shaped cells.
- Evaluates, assists and able to implement efficiency improvements in determined processes or equipment as assigned with and without guidance.
- Evaluates and performs time studies and process observations for efficiency improvements and line balancing.
- Develops and maintain standard work and other visual management tools.
- Projects may include new and improved layout proposals to improve material and process flow.
- Work safely utilizing PPE and following all safety procedures.
- Follow all inventory control procedures while implementing Kanban processes.
- Assist in training of the necessary Lean transformation tools and techniques as required.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
