Description:

SUMMARY

The Industrial Engineering Technician will provide collaborative technical and administrative support to achieve company objectives and meet customer requirements. The Industrial Engineering Technician will review and update current drawings and blueprints with internal stakeholders to meet project specifications, complete documentation packages, and produce drawing sets.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • College Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years experience in related field preferably manufacturing and Engineering
  • Experience working with CAD (Inventor preferred) and CAM (Inventor Cam preferred) software
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and specifications
  • Proven analytical skills and the ability to identify customer requirements and effectively communicate them
  • Demonstrated ability to finish multiple, overlapping projects on time and scale
  • High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts
  • High degree of mechanical aptitude and competencies
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
  • Will exhibit an eagerness for contributing beyond immediate duties and getting the job done
  • Courteous, professional, and knowledgeable approach when dealing with clients
  • Eligibility for security clearance including a clean criminal record check

Responsibilities:

  • Rework and test new products, programming, processes, or tooling
  • Aid in the process current customer orders
  • Create programming for fabrication utilizing CAM software
  • Prepare electronic (CAD) working plans and technical drawings for various window and door projects from preliminary concepts, sketches, calculations, specification sheets, and other data
  • Create sub-assembly drawings, including 3D CAD drawings of detailed components, jigs and fixtures
  • Create models for 3D Printing
  • Modify existing designs, update, and revise drawings
  • Assist with research and development initiatives
  • Collaborate, troubleshoot, and provide solutions to design and/or production issues
  • Assist in administering Engineering Change Notice (ECN)
  • Act as back-up to other positions within the Engineering process
  • Collaborate with various departments and provide support as required
  • General office administration duties - filing, using computer programs, etc.
