Bay Engineers Supplies is the exclusive Distributor of Sumitomo Drive Technologies in New Zealand for over 45 years and combines the product and service expertise of three companies together to provide engineered solutions to industrial power transmission customers.
We are searching for an experienced Mechanic/Gearbox Repair Technician to breakdown, inspect, and assemble gearboxes for new and repairs, record all shaft sizes, bearing bores and gear types.

Key activities in the role:

  • Identify and resolve mechanical issues with industrial gearboxes, this includes visiting customer facilities when required.
  • Follow verbal instructions, interpret blueprints and quality requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area daily.
  • Work well with fellow employees and customers.
  • Communicate with other employees and management in a respectful, positive manner.
