POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Journeyman Industrial Mechanic Millwright - Lead Pump Technician to oversee pump maintenance and repair operations. In this role, you will lead a team of technicians, perform advanced troubleshooting, and ensure the proper installation, alignment, and maintenance of various industrial pump systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Journeyman Certification as an Industrial Mechanic/Millwright.
- Extensive experience in pump systems, including installation, troubleshooting, repair, and alignment.
- Proficiency in using laser alignment tools and interpreting alignment data.
- Leadership or supervisory experience in a maintenance or repair role.
- Strong technical knowledge of pump mechanics, hydraulics, and related systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Additional certifications, such as alignment-specific certifications, are an asset.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the team in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of industrial pump systems, including centrifugal, positive displacement, and submersible pumps.
- Perform precise pump alignments using specialized tools such as laser alignment equipment.
- Oversee installation, alignment, and commissioning of new pumps and related systems.
- Conduct diagnostics and implement solutions for pump inefficiencies, failures, and performance issues.
- Collaborate with the Preventive Maintenance team to address recurring pump and alignment challenges.
- Train and mentor team members, ensuring all work meets company and industry standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, throughout all repair and alignment tasks.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all pump repairs, alignments, and maintenance activities.
