Ansys is looking for an R&D engineer to join our multiscale materials modelling team in the office of the CTO. The successful candidate will support the development of innovative software solutions within an innovative Horizon Europe project, collaborating with internal and external teams of researchers and developers. The project is an important part of our strategy to develop solutions for multiscale materials modelling, from atoms to continuum, and responsibilities include development of software solutions and applications to support the use of the Ansys Granta MI materials data management system in computational material science and materials informatics.
While primarily focusing on one project, the candidate will be involved in a limited number of other research projects in computational materials science, machine learning applied to materials, depending on the candidate interests and background.
This role will appeal to someone with a research background in computational materials science or engineering (or related fields such as computational chemistry chemical, mechanical engineering, physics) with a strong interest and some experience in software development. Other STEM backgrounds may be considered if the candidate demonstrates relevant experience in software development and machine learning.
