Description:

In the role of Industrial Relations Specialist, you will lead the delivery of key industrial relations activities related to the transition of FSQ into DJAG.
Key Responsibilities will include: - Develop, consult on, and implement DJAG’s industrial strategy.- Provide information and advice on the interpretation and application of legislation, awards, agreements, and other documents surrounding employment.- Negotiate, develop, and implement enterprise bargaining agreements including liaison with central agencies and consultation with FSQ employees.- Draft highly complex briefing material, correspondence submissions and reports on issues related to employee relations matters within DJAG.- Partnering with leaders and human resource practitioners to provide support and consultation that delivers a value-added service to achieve resolution of complex employment matters.
Your skills and experience: - You will have demonstrable highly developed verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills as well as the ability to navigate ambiguity, influence change and deliver outcomes including when faced with obstacles.- You will have strong knowledge of contemporary human resource practices to develop well informed, responsive, and innovative strategic solutions to all matters relating to Employee Relations, Industrial Relations, and Public Sector Policy.- Proven ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners and stakeholders to achieve project outcomes ensuring ongoing contribution to the department’s strategic business objectives.
