If you are an individual who possesses proven leadership skills and has experience working in or supporting the Department of Defense or Intelligence Community, we have an exciting opportunity in our National Security & Trust (NST) team. We are seeking a Senior Industrial Security Specialist to join our team. NST is responsible for the company’s end-to-end industrial security program enabling all U.S. Federal Government work. If you have experience managing National Industry Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) requirements to include working knowledge of Intelligence Community requirements, this is an exciting opportunity and you are encouraged to apply today.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 4+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement
  • OR equivalent experience
  • 4+ years work experience in security, security program management, security process implementation, process improvement.
  • 2+ years experience and application of industrial security policies and regulations including Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) and the NISPOM (32 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 117).
  • 2+ years experience working with databases including Scattered Castles, National Industrial Security System (NISS), Defense Information System for Security (DISS)/National Background Investigation Services (NBIS), and Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (eQIP)/eApp.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Security Clearance Requirements: Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with Polygraph. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate U.S. Government clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.

  • Clearance Verification: This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment.


  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

  • Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customer and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport, or other approved documents, or verified US government Clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years of work experience in security, security program management, security process implementation, process improvement.
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of industrial security policies and regulations including Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) and the NISPOM (CFR Part 117).
  • Experience identifying, assessing, and resolving security-based solutions related to DD 254 requirements.

    Business Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner for success with peer components of NST’s industrial security program including insider threat & counterintelligence, personnel security, information systems security, and legal.
  • Engage proactively with Government Security authorities across the customer base in compliance implementation, utilizing the NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives (ICD), DoDM 5105.21, Departmet of Defense Manual (DoDM) 5205.07 and other applicable directives, policies and procedures set forth by the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC).
  • Conduct security education and training (SETA).
  • Interact with internal and external customers or government security officials in performance of security duties.
  • Maintain Secure Compartmentalized Information Facility (SCIF) accreditations in accordance with Cognizant Security Agency directives.
  • Investigate security violations and submit required reports to the Cognizant Security Agency.
  • Develop and maintain effective business relationships across the company and gain company-specific business acumen in a One Microsoft approach.
  • Maintains SCIF visitor control function, entry/exit inspections and badging.
  • Prepare written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)/Emergency Action Plans (EAPs) and update annually for DoD and Intelligence Community (IC) customers.
  • Develop a compliant security program IAW 32 CFR part 117 (NISPOM) and IC directives to ensure the protection of classified material.
  • Obtain rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies.
  • Actively participate in Government security audits and maintain a record of results.
