ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Bourgault Industries is looking for a motivated individual to join our team in St. Brieux. We are hiring an Industrial Systems Engineer/Technologist for a 12 month term, beginning in January 2025, to assist with planning and implementation of projects related to facilities and infrastructure.

In this role, you will:

  • Support Industrial Systems Engineers with their projects such as:
  • Civil/Facility tasks; facility updates, repairs, small structural design, building projects
  • Mechanical tasks; mechanical designs, hydraulics, HVAC, pumps, simple structures, and various other system related items
  • Create 3D drawings with Solidworks drafting software for various design projects
  • Collaborate with other groups - communication skills are a key element in working in this fast paced group
  • Documentation related to industrial systems and equipment
  • Be part of and provide technical support for projects aimed at the facilities and facility systems to comply with existing codes and safety standards
  • Work with production and production engineering to improve safety, quality, and productivity
  • Investigate and respond to facility related safety concerns and develop solutions
  • Investigate failures of facilities systems, and improve the reliability or safety of the system
  • Conduct audits of critical assets and systems

The following qualifications will be needed to successfully perform this role:

  • Engineering degree or diploma in the Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial field (new grads are encouraged to apply)
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft office and 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • High degree of analytical thought and creativity
  • Effective trouble-shooting & problem-solving skills
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry would be an asset
  • Willing to (temporarily) relocate to St. Brieux, SK
