Job Description
This 2 year Advanced Apprenticeship is your chance to support the development of our manufacturing facility at Clay Cross.

Your primary role will be focused on assisting the industry 4.0 production engineer with their tasks and responsibilities within the manufacturing area whilst applying multiple engineering disciplines. This includes supporting the implementation of digitalisation in the manufacturing area specifically, industry 4.0 innovations, including:

  • Design and implementation of manufacturing execution systems (MES)
  • Support development of new manufacturing and assembly lines
  • Introduction and innovating of automation processes, ie electrical pneumatic hydraulic testing, manufacturing robotics, traceability of assembly processes
  • Performance analysis through automated test and traceability data
  • Optimising plant processes through continuous improvement

You will be a key point of contact within the department, giving support to continually drive a “Quality Culture” throughout the manufacturing environment, ensuring that all new products and processes are introduced on time, in an efficient and effective manner.
