We are looking for a passionate Industry Lead to join our Sales and Marketing team. You will report directly to the CRO (Chief Revenue Officer) and lead our TMT/TMH (Telecoms, Media and High Tech) industry vertical.
Your duties will include managing all sales and marketing efforts, assessing and improving existing initiatives and devising new strategies to increase industry vertical revenue.
To be successful in this role, you will be able to tailor strategies to complement the organization’s objectives and meet revenue targets. You will have excellent industry experience, leadership acumen and communication skills to successfully provide guidance to your team, and you will have a vast knowledge of current sales and industry trends for enterprise cloud software and services.
This role will need to carry a very high degree of urgency as well as being part of a hyper-scale business plan and strategy.

Knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field
  • A Master’s degree in a related field or an MBA may be highly desirable
  • More than 8 years’ proven experience in a sales management or business development management role
  • Candidate must have a demonstrated background of having developed and managed a sizeable sales team
  • Deep understanding of enterprise cloud technology value for customers and solution selling
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and sell enterprise software & services to c-level customers – demonstrated c-level engagement on subject matter
  • Proven and successful experience providing innovative sales development strategies that have immensely increased the sales performance of a business putting it ahead of its competition in the market
  • Demonstrate experience working in a financial and strategic planning position
  • Impressive track record delivering management level opinions and analyses to senior executives
  • Self-motivated and excellent inter-personal communication skills
  • 10 – 20 years’ experience within the enterprise technology industry preferably within Salesforce, AWS, Microsoft, Oracle, SAP or similar
  • Excellent analytical and leadership skills
  • Creative and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Exceptional knowledge of sales techniques and platform

Responsibilities:

  • Grow high performing team and drive throughput
  • Relationships – an industry lead must have established relationships or take initiative to establish relationships with key personnel within BlueSky’s market via industry events, conferences, establishing and maintaining long term relationships with key customers, potential customers, and key strategic partners.
  • The Industry Lead is also responsible for negotiating sales and business development transactions inclusive of licenses, transaction agreements, subscription agreements and partnerships
  • Analytics - conduct business analyses, performance analyses, competitive analyses
  • Liaising with operations, back-office and software vendor teams to align objectives
  • Conducting market research and staying abreast of competitor positioning
  • Contributing to new business development initiatives
  • Budget management
