Description:
Infant Feeding Support Worker - 36 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, enthusiastic team player to work within the Tameside Integrated Infant Feeding Team as a Breastfeeding Support Worker. This is a rewarding position, working across a range of hospital and community settings supporting families to make informed decisions about infant feeding in the antenatal and postnatal period.
You will work closely with health and local authority colleagues to provide a range of services to support and promote breastfeeding across Tameside. As an integral part of the Tameside Infant Feeding Team you will support the implementation of the UNICEF UK Baby Friendly standards and contribute to the development of initiatives to embed the standards across the service.

To work as an integral member of the infant feeding team; implementing best practice standards in breastfeeding with health professionals, antenatal and postnatal women and their partners. To promote informed choice and safe/effective feeding practices for all women and babies, regardless of the chosen method of feeding. To take part in training, audit and data collection.
