EDUCATION:

• Assesses educational needs and develops strategies, programs and materials to meet the needs of physicians, staff, learners, volunteers, congregate care IPAC leads/liaisons, patients/residents/clients and families.
• Ensures all educational training/content is reflective of IPAC current best practices and the organizations policies and procedures.
• Develops and delivers corporate and clinical/program specific orientation on IPAC practices.
• Provides the organization and congregate care settings with IPAC expertise and leadership: Developing and delivering education/training as required for outbreaks or pandemics (e.g. avian influenza, COVID-19).
• Participates and supports the development of table-top exercises for a range of IPAC needs and corporate priorities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• University degree in Nursing, Health-related discipline or Registered Medical Lab Technologist
• Current registration in good standing with applicable regulatory college
• 3-5 years related experience
• Certificate of Infection Control (CIC) or must complete within 1 year of hire
• Proven ability to attend work regularly.
• Satisfactory criminal reference check and vulnerable sector search required.
