INFLUENCER STRATEGIST - TORONTO BASED
We are looking for an Influencer Specialist (Senior Consultant level) to join our Influencer & Partnerships team. This person will demonstrate a true passion for and understanding of influencer marketing, emerging digital platforms and how they can be leveraged as part of our clients’ strategies. You will be focused on creating influencer strategies, contributing to campaign development, managing influencer identification and procurement, and develop actionable insights in reporting. This is an opportunity to push boundaries and never accept the status quo when it comes to influencer-first creative programs, brand campaigns or other marketing initiatives and have an impact on the growth of our influencer team.
The successful candidate would join us in working with some of the most well-respected and dynamic brands in Canada. Our clients come from a range of sectors including consumer packaged goods, food and beverage, retail, and leisure and automotive. This person will work hand in hand with our Consumer sector and Creative & Content Hub team. As an integrated role, teamwork and collaboration will be pivotal in the candidate’s success.
EXPERIENCE THAT CONTRIBUTES TO YOUR SUCCESS:
- 4-5 years of experience with a focus in the consumer influencer landscape; agency experience ideal
- Expert in both social platform and influencer nuances as it relates to strategy, tiers and verticals, negotiation and best practices
- Strong relationships with Canadian influencers and influencer/talent agencies is an asset
- Strong familiarity with influencer platforms & tools
- Understand insights and metrics from various social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, etc. and how they impact influencer content performance
- Ability to assess a client’s overall marketing mix and develop scaled multidimensional influencer programs (including paid, e-commerce, etc.) with a strategic mindset
- Solid presentation skills and comfort in client-facing discussions
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills along with strong attention to detail to ensure error free program execution
- Desire to work in a diverse and inclusive organization as an active participant in culture initiatives, training opportunities and employee resource groups

Responsibilities:
- Development of influencer strategies and plans, working collaboratively with VP, Influencer Marketing
- Working with Sector account teams to ideate, present and execute multi-platform influencer programs by leveraging trends and data driven insights to integrate with wider PR objectives
- Identification, outreach, contracting, negotiation, project management and measurement of complex influencer programs
- Developing campaign reports by tracking and optimizing organic and paid influencer content with actionable insights & recommendations
- Carry out social media listening and research to identify trends in online conversations and to pinpoint key influencers
- Providing an influencer/social perspective on traditional public relations programs i.e. media relations, events
- Keep on top of emerging social trends, platforms, technologies, and influencers in the Canadian market
- Educates and shares knowledge with teams on trends and best practices
