JOB DESCRIPTION

The U.S. Bancorp Global Security Operations Center is responsible for the continuous monitoring of cybersecurity threats and responding in real time to analyze and properly disposition those events. The Information Security Specialist is responsible for independently performing operational monitoring and triage of security alerts generated from tools including network and endpoint intrusion detection tools such as NDR, NIDS, HIDS, firewall, network, and system/event logs. Actions are guided by Standard Operating Procedures and activities will require minimal direction/oversight from management.
U.S. Bank is seeking an Information Security Specialist to join the Identity and Access Management Engagement and Support Team. We are looking for candidates who demonstrate competence, leadership and have dev ops experience. The ideal candidate will be process improvement-minded, customer and security focused, and a thought leader. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing and provisioning access requests, processing change tasks, and trouble shooting incidents.
They will contribute toward the success of our security and operational initiatives This position will also be responsible for driving automation initiatives, recommending, and implementing process improvements, and assisting with department project work. This position will be required to participate in an on-call rotation.
The primary platforms of focus will be one or more of the following: SailPoint IdentityIQ, SeviceNow, SQL, Jira, Active Directory, Unix/Linux, Mainframe, Postman, and Microsoft 365, and/or Exchange.

Experience should include:

  • SalePoint – IdentityIQ – need to understand how the backend work and how to look through the database structure with SQL
  • ServiceNow – just go in and work incidents, add comments, how to accept them, updating knowledge articles
  • Familiarity with Jira
  • Experience with Microsoft products
  • Active Director

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • College degree or equivalent industry experience and certifications, with proficiency in Security Operations Center activities
  • One to three years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, or in network or information technology environment

THE ROLE OFFERS A HYBRID/FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE, WHICH MEANS THERE’S AN IN-OFFICE EXPECTATION OF 3 OR MORE DAYS PER WEEK AND THE FLEXIBILITY TO WORK OUTSIDE THE OFFICE LOCATION FOR THE OTHER DAYS AT ONE OF THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS:
