Description:
The Informatics Analyst I has responsibility for the education, training, support, and proper use software applications.
EDUCATION:
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in area of position focus such as business, information systems, nursing, pharmacy, laboratory, imaging sciences, etc., preferred
EXPERIENCE:
Five years of healthcare experience with electronic medical record utilization required

Schedule: Full Time, Varied, 7-
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates installation, implementation, testing, modification, and utilization of software applications, including but not limited to practice management, scheduling, financial, laboratory, radiology, emergency department, and other electronic medical record applications.
- Coordinates initial and ongoing end-user training and education for both support staff and medical staff on the use of software applications, ensuring proper application use and enhancing the quality and effectiveness of workflow processes.
- Conducts and coordinates with system users software application upgrades with minimal system downtime. Coordinates error correction efforts to maintain the system after upgrade or implementation.
- Promotes the development of software applications, maximizing departmental and organizational efficiency.
- Evaluates workflow and recommends re-engineering of processes around utilization and effectiveness of computerized applications to maximize departmental and organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Works with St. Claire revenue-generating and revenue-collection departments to ensure that possible charge opportunities are captured and set up appropriately in the chargemaster.
- Evaluates problem situations and, in conjunction with a more senior Informatics Analyst, coordinates problem resolution for issues related to software application use and implementation.
