E. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1. Education
   a. College Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field
2. Experience
   a. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in healthcare informatics, data management, or a related field. (Experience with Athena preferred.)
   b. Strong understanding of information systems and technologies.
   c. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
   d. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
   e. Familiarity with data privacy regulations and security protocols.
   f. Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurance.
   g. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
3. Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification:
   a. Possesses satisfactory references and pass criminal background, national sex offender, drug, and motor vehicle checks.

A. BASIC PURPOSE

The Informatics Specialist will work closely with Practice Group informatics, leadership, fellow teammates, caregivers and providers to ensure successful user orientation, standardized process/workflow and clinical application adoption. Assists in the development, training, and support of assigned healthcare applications, solutions, and business processes to meet the operational and clinical application needs of the organization. Serves as a liaison between application support, Practice Group clinical operations, clinical/practice informatics, and system users. Ensures effective systems operations by monitoring workflows, providing advanced user support, ongoing application education and assists with communications.

B. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and accessibility.
• Perform complex data analysis to support decision-making processes.
• Lead or participate in informatics-related projects.
• Define project objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project goals are met on time within budget.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Implement and monitor data security measures to protect sensitive information.
• Conduct regular audits and risk assessments.
